Overdose Awareness 5K/1-mile Remembrance Walk

Join us for the First Annual Overdose Awareness 5K/1 mile remembrance walk on August 31st at 7:30 AM at Bayshore Live Oak Park. In addition to the 5K, we will also have a special remembrance walk along Sunseekers’s promenade, where the path will be lined with photos of loved ones lost to overdose. It's a time to honor and remember those we have lost to this devastating epidemic and fight against the stigma surrounding addiction. The event will feature a live DJ to keep you motivated and entertained, as well as numerous raffles with exciting prizes donated generously by our local businesses. As a token of appreciation, every participant who crosses the finish line will receive free Narcan, a life-saving medication for opioid overdose. Let's come together on International Overdose Awareness Day for our First Annual event to raise awareness, remember those we have lost, and show support for those struggling with addiction. Your presence and participation can make a difference in our community.
